- 3 bags of Rosemary infusion from Les 2 Marmottes
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper (or pink berries).
Step 1 : Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over low heat, along with 3 rosemary tea bags and 3 garlic cloves.
Step 2 : Let the olive oil simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, until the garlic cloves are gently browned.
Step 3 : Remove from heat and let the olive oil, garlic, and rosemary cool for another 30 minutes.
Step 4 : Remove the garlic and infusion bags and bottle them in a previously sterilized glass container. It's ready!
Bo-Bo-Bonus : if your oil bottle is transparent, don't hesitate to slip in a sprig of rosemary for decoration.
What can be used instead of rosemary to flavor pizza oil?
The advantage of making your own pizza oil is that you can adapt the recipe according to your tastes and the infusion bags you have at the bottom of your drawer.
For example, you can replace rosemary with thyme to flavor your goat cheese and honey pizzas.
In the same way, an oil infused with fennel will bring a nice aniseed touch, perfect with a seafood pizza!
And if basil is your favorite herb, then you'll love drizzling this lovely blend over your burrata pizza.
Finally, know that your flavored oils are not intended to stay in the cupboard: they will go wonderfully with a whole host of savory and even sweet dishes... We'll let you discover which ones just after.
My rosemary oil: not just on pizza
Now that you've made a rosemary-infused oil , you'll be able to use a few drops (and more if you like) all summer long! Here are a few examples to whet your appetite (or rather, the oil!):
- Brush meat with your magic oil before grilling it on the barbecue
- Baste a fish before putting it on the griddle
- A line on your ratatouille before serving it
- A lick on mashed potatoes
- In vinaigrette with tomatoes and burrata
- And why not even on roasted apricots with rosemary ice cream.
Moral: you'll probably need more than one bottle to last until the end of summer!
