Let's set the milk on fire!

This recipe for spiced rice pudding, which will remind some of the famous Chai Tea , has more than one trick up its sleeve.

Delicious, generous, and explosive, it tickles our childhood memories and leaves a lasting taste on the spoon! Its secret lies first and foremost in the sweetness of rice slowly cooked in sweet milk. But it's also this spicy menu, a little unexpected but which gives this recipe a new dimension.

In a whirlwind of flavors and warmth, cinnamon , ginger , cardamom, licorice, black pepper and cloves mingle to better enchant our milk. The balance between indulgence, roundness and spices is simply perfect.

Just what you need for dessert or a snack, accompanied, of course, by a Thé Noir des 2 Marmottes. Comfort guaranteed!

Here we go for a simple and easy recipe for spiced rice pudding.

Ingredients to have on hand for spiced rice pudding:

  • 160g of organic round rice
  • 1L of organic milk
  • 10 bags of Organic Strong Spiced Tea
  • 80 to 100g of sugar
  • cinnamon powder or sticks for decoration

If you don't like tea, you can also try a fruitier version with Apple-Cinnamon infusion bags instead of chai tea.

The rice pudding recipe that the whole world will envy you for

  1. Start by rinsing the rice in clean water.
  2. Then boil it for 2 minutes in water and drain it.
  3. Grab another saucepan and heat the milk in it. Add the Strong Spiced Tea bags and let them steep in the milk while it heats up.
  4. When the milk begins to simmer, remove the tea bags (be careful, it's hot, use a strainer or a slotted spoon to remove them without burning yourself). Pour in the rice without further ado (you know what they say: "Boiled milk, ruined milk!")
  5. Let it cook quietly, stirring from time to time.
  6. When the rice has almost absorbed all the milk, add the sugar and continue cooking until the milk is completely absorbed.
  7. Pour the spiced rice pudding into ramekins and let cool.
  8. And there you have it, a little cinnamon for decoration! Sprinkle with ground cinnamon and/or add a small cinnamon stick for a dessert that will make a statement at the table!

This cinnamon rice pudding is perfect for a snack or an autumnal tea party. The ramekin format makes it easy to take with you to enjoy on the couch, snug under a blanket...
