A selection of infusions and teas to prepare for winter, snug in your burrow. Our master infusers select and blend more than 50 plants in our workshops in Haute-Savoie. The benefits of thyme , chamomile, mint, and cinnamon will help even the most sensitive to the cold hold out until spring. Like Les 2 Marmottes, stock up on plants without added flavors!
Herbal teas and winter tea
A good tea or an infusion in cold weather helps warm you up, as any grandmother who loves herbal teas will tell you. They're right, drinking hot (but be careful, not boiling) helps the body return to its usual temperature in case of intense cold outside. A big wool sweater, a duvet, a slice of cake and you're ready for a winter tea treat just the way we like them. Infusions and spiced teas are the ultimate flavors in case of cold: a pinch of cinnamon, coriander, cloves... or cocoa or a spiced chai tea for the more gourmands. Thyme-based infusions will also be your friends if your throat is itchy or if you have a slight cough.
The 2 Marmots, the mountain in winter
The winter tea route also passes through Haute-Savoie! In Bons-en-Chablais, in partnership with the ESF (French Ski School), our master brewers have developed a special altitude recipe: Après-Ski. Thyme, eucalyptus, and lemon create a perfect bouquet to enjoy with a view of the snow-capped peaks, after a day of exertion on the slopes, or to help with digestion after a raclette or Savoyard fondue, whichever you prefer.
