Mulled apple juice : homemade recipe

Les 2 Marmottes' secret recipe

As we always have herbs, spices, fruit and roots on hand, we had fun spicing up our Mulled Wine mix

Forget water, infuse our recipe directly in apple juice for 10 minutes, preferably organic apple juice. Add a spoonful of honey for sweetness, and as we thought it lacked a little pizazz, we added a few drops of lemon. Bingo! This home-made recipe was immediately given the thumbs up by our team in Bons-en-Chablais. Teamwork is dreamwork at Les 2 Marmottes!

Watch the recipe video below:

Ingredients and preparation

Ingredients for 1 cup:

- 1 sachet of Mulled Wine mix

- 250 ml apple juice (preferably organic with no added sugar)

- 1 spoon of honey (go for a tablespoon or teaspoon depending on whether you have a sweet tooth or not)

- Half a lemon

- Optional: ground cinnamon for decoration

Place the hot apple juice and the Mulled Wine tea sachet in a saucepan. Bring to the boil. Remove the teabag.

Pour the spoonful of honey and the juice from the lemon into the cup.

Pour in the hot infused apple juice.

Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve (be careful, it's hot!).
