If elderberry is so confident, it's because its pretty white flowers and black berries full of juice had already caught the eye of prehistoric man! It is said that they regularly concocted a fermented drink from elderberry... We, as you might guess, prefer to enjoy it as an infusion !

What are the benefits of elderberry in infusions?
If black elderberry has long been considered a "magical" plant, it is because it can be used from head to toe.
Flowers, fruits, bark, seeds: everything is good in elderberry!
A real ally against colds and flu , elderberry acts as an antiviral and helps to lower fever thanks to its diaphoretic properties (in other words, its ability to make us sweat!).
Once infused, elderflowers can also be used to decongest eyelids, relieve styes or conjunctivitis.

What elderberry is used in Les 2 Marmottes infusions?
Native to the Old Continent, the elderberry is a giant shrub that can reach 6 meters!
He spends happy days in the woods and hedges and even sometimes in certain gardens.
In spring, when its small white flowers poke their petals out, we scour the countryside to harvest them.
The fruits (or rather the flowers !) from this wild harvest then end up in our workshop in Bons-en-Chablais, in Haute-Savoie.

In which recipes do our master infusers use elderflowers?
The most surprising thing about elderberry is the almost unpleasant smell of its fresh flowers!
Fortunately, once dried and pampered, their scent changes completely... So much so that you'll want to put it everywhere.
Inspired by its floral and gourmet side, our master infusers have created an irresistible Tutti Fleuri trio: raspberry , hibiscus flowers and elderflower, of course!
A subtly floral and fruity infusion to enjoy throughout the day.
