What are the benefits of Rooibos in infusions?

Rooibos is a plant that grows only in South Africa, more specifically in the Cederberg region, north of Cape Town.

This "red bush," as the Afrikaans call it, is part of the Fynbos, one of the richest ecosystems in the world, with more than 2,000 species. Its unique feature is that it is composed entirely of bushes and herbs. Consumed for centuries by locals, rooibos is currently enjoying considerable success in the West. And for good reason: it is recognized for its antioxidant properties .

Although it has inherited the name "red tea," it is not. Its lack of theine and its very low tannin content remove any stimulating effect and make this drink very popular.

What rooibos is used in Les 2 Marmottes infusions?

At the burrow, we also have the rooibos bosses, I named our master infusers !

Our rooibos is also grown in the warmer soils of South Africa. The rooibos stems and leaves are harvested, then quickly ground and oxidized in the sun. This is the step that gives our herbal teas their beautiful red color.

Once dried, it is then worked by our little in-house marmots who concoct surprising recipes for your palate.

In which recipes do our master infusers use rooibos?

A naturally nutty taste, a beautiful copper color... It didn't take much for our master infusers to combine rooibos with floral and sweet notes. In our new Rooibos Blackcurrant herbal tea, it's the woody flavor of blackcurrant leaves that our little marmots have come to combine. A 100% plant-based recipe that will boost the warmth of your burrow. Hold on to the branches, this half-shrub, half-leaf infusion will definitely become your guilty pleasure of the year!

Our signature winter herbal tea, Apple Cinnamon , is the perfect balance between the sweetness of apple and the spicy taste of rooibos. An infusion capable of satisfying sweet cravings, without added sugar, it's sure to be a pleasant surprise. Enjoy without moderation throughout the day.
