A cult mountain in Chablais, the Dent d'Oche is catching our eye right up to our workshop-burrow in Bons-en-Chablais!
It must be said that from its summit, perched at more than 2,200 meters, you can even see Lake Geneva.
Trails between fir trees, forest paths, footbridge spanning the river, scree, rocky spurs and a final ascent using chains and cables: it's impossible to get bored with this off-road hike !
To stay hydrated throughout the climb (it lasts more than 3 hours and is not easy), remember to stock up on water and even fill your water bottle with a cold herbal tea like Cocktail Digest .
Once at the top, the panorama is simply breathtaking.
For those who would like to extend the pleasure a little longer, don't hesitate to reserve your place at the refuge. And before going to bed, enjoy the starry sky of Chablais with a 1,2,3… Moonlit sleep infusion. We bet that after a day of hiking, you'll sleep like a log!
No sleeping in: this morning you get up early and in a good mood!
After having your breakfast and your cup of Thé Réveillé , put on your hiking boots and start the descent. With a bit of luck, you might come across a not-so-awake ibex or an Abondance cow...
It is even possible to find cheese (from Abondance, of course) at the Chalets d'Oche.
