Qui se cache derrière notre verveine ?

There are two of them. Two small producers , lovers of beautiful plants and especially verbena . One is in France, the other in Morocco... we present them to you!

Verbena herbal teas

In the family of star infusions, I ask for… verbena !

A favorite plant of the druids, verbena was a wild and sacred herb, which was long used in magical potions.

From now on, lemon verbena is the star of the famous evening herbal tea ritual.

Today, if the magic still works, it is thanks to small, passionate producers who pamper verbena season after season.

From Ardèche or Marrakech, the verbena of the 2 Marmottes has a bright future ahead of it.

For several months now, we've been working hand in hand with a young woman from Ardèche. Lemon verbena loves warmth and sunshine, and isn't a fan of frost: the Ardèche climate gives it a boost!

A recent graduate, this discreet and talented producer has set her sights on verbena. Deeply attached to plants and their environment, she naturally chose the organic path.

At the burrow, we receive nearly 5 tons of lemon verbena from Ardèche every year. Enough to make some lovely recipes!

Some of the verbena you find in your favorite herbal teas comes from Morocco. For a plant that thrives on sunshine, the Mediterranean climate is beneficial, and the finest verbena vintages come from Morocco's renowned terroirs.

The family of Omar – our producer – and Les 2 Marmottes, it’s a story that has lasted for more than 20 years!

Drip irrigation to save water, switching to organic farming, regulatory changes, harvest updates: we experience this shared adventure almost every day!

Once they arrive at the burrow, the fragrant verbena from Ardèche and the powerful verbena from Marrakech are scrutinized, tasted and blended by our master infusers.

We'll even reveal one of their secrets: behind our 100% Verbena recipe , there is, in fact, a subtle blend of two organic verbenas that are similar but also cultivate their differences. Yes, having grown in different terroirs, each verbena vintage has developed its own particularities and has a different organoleptic signature. Combining them to enhance the bouquet is quite an art!

But the encounter between plants does not stop there.

In Infusion des Marmottes , our beloved verbenas mingle with linden, peppermint, hibiscus flower, rosehip, matricaria chamomile and orange petals, while in Fée Nuit , they wink at fennel, cinnamon and rose petals.

The icing on the cake is that verbena also has its place in relaxing herbal teas like Relax et Moi , the sweetest herbal tea in the burrow.
