Let's prepare for hibernation! Advice from Richard, master infuser at Les 2 Marmottes
Many plants have soothing properties and are known to help you sleep better . But too often, we prioritize benefits over taste, and one goes hand in hand with the other! At Les 2 Marmottes, we choose plants for our recipes based on their properties, but we also study how to best combine flavors for a maximum feeling of well-being.
When we say " plants for better sleep ," we quickly think of chamomile . Used for centuries for its medicinal properties, chamomile is renowned for its sweetness and relaxing properties that facilitate good sleep . Its slight honeyed taste will bring you all the softness and calm you desire.
Next comes verbena : our lemon verbena has been carefully selected from producers who share our values, before being cut and assembled in our workshops. Its slightly lemony taste interests us to bring a vegetal touch to certain recipes like our Infusion des Marmottes .
Impressive in its size, the linden tree is also impressive in the extent of its traditional uses. Its sweet fragrance, as well as the petals and orange blossoms, also provide the necessary comfort to sleepers ready to crush. A peaceful night can be prepared with our plants for sleeping .
To each their own ritual! No need for a magic wand to concoct soothing infusions . Just plants, common sense, and the search for the right taste.
An infusion that is too strong in the mouth will not set you up for a nice snooze. Not to mention, of course, plants containing caffeine, such as green tea or guarana . We blend more than 50 plants in our workshops in Bons-en-Chablais. Each has its role. In our Fée Nuit infusion , it is the orange blossom petals that give this unique taste, that of a calm and peaceful night .
Lemon balm , lemon and chamomile have come together in our 1,2,3… Sleep infusion! A winning trio for restful sleep .
There's nothing like a 100% verbena herbal tea to let yourself drift off into the arms of Morpheus.
Treat yourself before going to sleep by drinking a small cup of chamomile .
On that note, I'm going to take a little nap... at Les 2 Marmottes, the dodo is not an extinct species! An infusion, and off to bed!
