At Les 2 Marmottes, we hate complicating our lives. To make an infusion, we choose... plants! And we're definitely not going to mess around adding flavorings... even natural ones. Coming from a plant concentrate or produced by bacteria, sometimes light years away from the original plant, they will boost - and often distort - the true taste of the plants. Some are easy to spot: open a commercial herbal tea bag. If you see little white balls in the middle of the dried plants, those are the famous flavors! Even simpler, read the list of ingredients: With us: 0 flavorings, 0 extracts or essential oils!
A simple promise

Pushing open the door to our burrow in Bons à Chablais is like entering Ali Baba's cave, plant version: thyme, fennel, chamomile, mint, rosemary, lemon balm, blackcurrant leaf, raspberry... In total, our master infusers select and assemble the roots, bark, leaves, seeds or fruits of more than 50 plants!
So, of course, when you walk through the door of the workshop, the smells mingle with the seasons. Once received, our plants are analyzed, then meticulously cut, debacterized... and that's it!
Since we don't use concentrates, extracts, or essential oils, the plants we choose must have flavor. Because with us, there's no question of compensating for the poor quality of a plant with an aroma, even a natural one!

Our ingredient lists are always simple because we have nothing to hide. Whether it's a single plant, a fun duo, or a more elaborate cocktail, all our infusions and teas allow you to gently discover the true taste of plants.
The roundness of licorice, the lemony notes of verbena, the freshness of mint, the floral side of chamomile: you couldn't make all this up!
Choosing herbal teas or teas without added flavors is therefore a way to get closer to nature, to return to simple things by rediscovering all the subtlety and finesse of plants. It's awakening your senses without blurring the message, it's indulging yourself without over-tickling your taste buds, it's taking care of yourself without making a mistake!

Since our palates are so accustomed to aromas, it can be difficult to get used to the natural taste of plants again. What can we do?
1/ Turn to the most powerfully aromatic plants , whose fragrance is easily identifiable: thyme, spices, hibiscus have strong and tasty notes. Conversely, the fragrance of fruits is often obtained commercially via aromas, and differs greatly from the authentic taste of peels, zests and dried fruits alone. Our Citrus and Fruit Mix infusions, for example, are therefore more subtle than what "lemon" or "red fruit" aromas might be used to...
2/ Look for flavors that are familiar to you: for example, mint infusions or cinnamon infusions are perfect for beginners!
Take a quick look at the Marmottes herbarium to find the ones you already like, or use the "ingredients" filter on the site to identify the infusions that contain the plants you like.
"Single plant" infusions like Thyme , Mint Duo , Verbena ... can also help you become familiar with the natural scent of a single plant, before having fun finding it in our compositions mixing several plants. For example, our signature infusion, theInfusion des Marmottes , contains 7!
3/ Test various formats!
