A symbol of hospitality and generosity, mint tea is a staple of Eastern tradition. Prepared by the head of the family, it is shared with visiting friends or at the end of a meal to leave the table feeling fresher than ever! Traditionally enjoyed hot and sweet, it also makes a statement when served cold, with its naturally flavored aroma... We'll explain!
In the iced tea family, there are the over-sweet ones that we prefer to avoid, the tasteless ones that we prefer to forget and the homemade ones with quality tea and plants.
At Les 2 Marmottes, we've long since chosen our side. To make our mint tea, we've unleashed our master brewers into the wild.
Their mission? To find top-quality green tea and the best mint. They first focused on organic products, with 100% organic green tea , guaranteed pesticide-free.
Then, they set out to find the best mint leaves . Since they couldn't decide between sweet mint and peppermint, they secretly tested a recipe that mixed the two. And bingo! The sweet mint and peppermint blend awakened the green tea with unparalleled freshness.
After a series of successful tastings, our master infusers had the idea to test their new recipe in a cold version.
Bingo number 2! This particularly thirst-quenching iced tea would become one of their favorite drinks.
To prepare homemade mint tea , you will need...
- 1 bag of Menth'Olé green tea
- A few fresh mint leaves
- A little crushed ice
How to do it?
Infuse 1 Menth'Olé tea bag in 1L of hot water for 3 minutes at 100°C.
Remove the bag and let it cool overnight.
The next day, add some fresh organic mint leaves and crushed ice.
Enjoy it with family or friends in any season!
