Mint

Mint is a perennial aromatic plant. A little shade and moist soil are enough for it to make itself at home, so much so that it sometimes gets out of control! Mint has been used for centuries for its many virtues.

What are the benefits of mint in Les 2 Marmottes teas and infusions?

What are the benefits of mint in Les 2 Marmottes teas and infusions?

The Assyrians and Babylonians used it to fight against 'lazy stomach'.

It is said that at the end of a meal, it settles the mood and relaxes the atmosphere. Mint is thus believed to have digestive and soothing benefits.

But at Les 2 Marmottes, it's the mixture of freshness and sweetness that our brewmasters love.

Herbal blend with Mint, Linden and Verbena

SUPERSTAR INFUSION:⭐MINT LINDEN VERBENA⭐

Double mint for freshness, linden for its honey notes, and verbena for its lemony flavour.

A trio that delivers a true taste sensation.

What is the mint used in Les 2 Marmottes teas and infusions?

A double minTEA delight! At Les 2 Marmottes, we love to mix spearmint and peppermint.

Moroccan spearmint (or 'Nanah' mint) is ideal for making mint tea.

The more powerful peppermint is farmed by a small producer in Milly-la-Forêt.

Our two-mint infusion will freshen up your mind, breath, and soul! Taste, select, check, cut, sift, combine... Infusion is an art form.

In which recipes do our brewmasters use mint?

Peppermint adds a light touch of freshness to soothing brews such as our Marmot Herbal Tea, while spearmint brings a touch of comfort to party people in our After Party infusion.

So, sweet like spearmint, or a bit more peppery? No need to settle for just one when you can enjoy the best of both worlds in our indulgent Mint Liquorice or subtle Mint Linden Verbena infusions.

Our cold brews love mint! How about a home-made mint iced tea? Take a Mint Green Tea bag and infuse for 30 minutes in cold water, add a dash of lemon, and you've got summertime heaven.

A few words from a brewmaster. Richard, menthol fan

"I don't like to brag, but our peppermint is truly exceptional! We work directly with a small peppermint producer, Alain, one of the last in Milly-la-Forêt, which is the historical capital of medicinal plants. His mint is one of the most highly concentrated in menthol in the world.

No middle-man: at Les 2 Marmottes, we love to work directly with committed producers to select plants from their native soils according to the seasons.

The mint is grown, harvested, and dried naturally in the open air, by Alain himself. We pay him regular visits, and it's always worth the journey! Meet Alain, our peppermint producer."
